Bio

Kyle was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. Raised in a musical family, he began playing the piano at the early age of four years old. In grade school he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and take up the upright bass, and spent many years studying classical music. In high school, Kyle also became interested in jazz, pop, and other genres, and began playing the electric bass as well. After attending Northern Arizona University for two years on a jazz scholarship, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to continue his music career. Kyle quickly became popular as a freelance bassist in the Phoenix area, and it also served as his home base as he toured the U.S. frequently with various acts. He eventually made the decision to complete his studies in music, and moved to New York City, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in music performance. Kyle has been fortunate to study with some of today's premier bassists including John Patitucci, Lincoln Goines, Joel DiBartolo, and Bart Samolis.

Kyle has an extensive list of performances and tours with many great musicians in many different genres. Performances nationally include appearances at South by Southwest Music Festival, multiple appearances at Disney World Orlando, multiple television appearances in Phoenix, Arizona, a performance of the national anthem with The Swingtips at the New York Mets Shea Stadium, and performances at many of the top music venues in countless cities throughout the U.S.. Kyle has performed with Jill Stevenson, The Dave Pittenger Band, Kat Gang, The Swingtips, Joe Young, Steve Belvilus, Paolo Orlandi, Chuck Marohnic, Gary Novak, Frank Rosaly, Josh Cook, Ted Belledin, William Ravel, Ray Riendau, Pedacinho do Brasil, The 540s, Second Movement, and many others.

Kyle currently resides in New York, frequently performing with his own band, teaching privately, and recording and performing as a freelance bassist with various artists.
